Culture is King.

Don't take care of your customers. Take care of your people. They'll do the rest.

If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

The Incursus Culture

Culture?

Yes, Virginia .... culture.  We could provide you with a nice list of freebies, like ping pong tables, free sodas, and bean bag chairs, but let's be honest here ... those things really don't matter at the end of the day.  So what does matter then? Easy.  People.

We treat our teammates as real people first - not merely employees.  "Employees" are a means to an end.  Teammates are family. And that is why we prefer that term instead. To that end, we have some rather unique aspects of our culture. However, being a part of an extended family doesn't come without a price! At times there are long, and weird, hours. Expect your brain's CPU to be pegged on the daily. Expect to innovate like nothing you've experienced before! But the rewards for that hard work and innovation are very real.

We Strive to be Different!

We'll be the first to admit, we have some very unique policies at Incursus.  But, you know what? We wouldn't have it any other way!  Our approach to our people and culture, much like our approach to delivering quality work, is one of the things that sets us apart. For example:

Pirate Shares Each teammate is incentivized on the success of their work. The pirates of antiquity got it right.
No PTO Tracking Accountability is paramount. If you aren't doing your job, you won't have a job anyway.
YOU dayz Fridays are "YOU" days. Teammates get to work on open-source projects, charitable causes, and other such things.
Open-Source@Work Teammates own and/or participate in at least one internal open-source project.
Telecommuting When not on a client site, you can telecommute, or hang in the office. Accountability, remember?
Giving Through Growth! Teammates declare a charity when joining us. Their success equates to success for their charity.
Ideas as Currency In our system of innovation, ideas are currency. Be rewarded for this form of currency you generate.
Real Life First (RLF) In our world, real life comes first. Work can wait if need be. Take care of yourself and your family first!
